Mountain goats with Northern lights
While living in Alaska the artist worked at a wilderness lodge across the Kenai river from the a massive mountain. While at work Lauren could spot the mountain goats climbing on the mountain most people needed binoculars to find. She fell in love with the white spots because they reminded her of home. She grew up raising goats and going hiking with them. One spring morning she helped her families goat deliver her babies and within a week this painting was born. Goats are a beautiful capable and loving animal. She would often joke to friends that her goats raised her more than she ever raised them. They protected her when she star gazed while resting her head on their sides. They would chase off any cat, dog or chicken who dared approach her in their presence. They raced her when she ran through the farmers fields with them and they loved her in their own way.
Prices vary depending on size. Each print comes in a custom made cardboard holder and has a thick paper to support the print.
