Cage wrap template details
This wrap style is a cage like ladder that wraps around the stone. As long as the ladder is thick enough to keep the stone from slipping out it is sucessful. If it is not then the top and bottom of the wrap need to compensate by become more of a basket wrap to keep the stone in place. This style has many variations and lots of flexibility in style. It requires lot more time and much more wire to make successfully. It is possible to combine multiple colors of wire in this style, though it is better to keep the variety of color simplified.
