Scenery and objects

One of the first styles of art learned is an object painting. They help teach art concepts like shadow and form. Scenery painting help teach perspective and atmosphere.

Potential paintings

Entire scenes

Scenes look the best when they represent a specific place or time of day. Smaller details can overwhelm the painting so broader scenes tend to look the best with Lauren’s art style.

Alternative art styles

When painting sceneries there is a lot of flexibility to play with colors and textures. Lauren can recreate styles if you send her references to use for inspiration.

Alternative Canvases

Lauren has done many paintings on alternative canvases such as saws and family heirlooms. Painting on saws is a much more masculine version of a typical painting. Sealing these paintings tends to require heavier duty chemicals Lauren does not supply so If you do want her to paint a scene for you please be prepared to seal it in your own method if that is your desire. If it is a locally done job Lauren is happy to work with you to achieve the best results. Lauren cannot guarantee the painting will survive the seal you use with the variations found in alternative canvas types.

Object Paintings

The first style of art Lauren was trained in was Watercolors. Watercolor paintings tend to take a lot more time because her style pays tribute to details more than the loose style watercolor paints are known for. Object paintings require a lot of attention to details but if done right can capture the feeling in the room. This painting is a watercolor.

180 hour painting

This painting is a watercolor Lauren completed at 17 years old in High School. It took her about 180 hours and through this painting she practiced the different watercolor techniques she had learned. This painting is a result of her first watercolor class which doubled as the first class in which she learned to paint.
