People portraits

A photograph captures a moment but a painting is what captures the spirit. When a painting is completed there is a certain feel around it almost like the moment is being relived but in a more present form than the photograph. Lauren can combine multiple photographs to bring together loved ones that never got the chance to pose together. She can also paint memories photographs never captured.

Combined family picture

Lauren can combine multiple pictures of people to pull them together into a scene. This painting, for example, is a family memory from the 80’s of which no photograph was taken but could be recreated with a paintbrush. Basic backgrounds are the best if the emphasis needs to be placed on the subjects.

Scenery backgrounds

Simple backgrounds are fun to capture with the paintbrush but too many details may take away from the subject. Simple pallets are best if more details are required.

Soft cloud background

Simple clouds are a wonderful way to commemorate loved ones no longer here. Clients often request visual changes done to the face. Lauren can do this but please keep in mind that the more changes requested the less realistic the painting will be primarily because it will look less like the person she has been requested to paint.

Simple background

When the painting is simple it is easier to have emphasis on the subject. In this painting specifically the two subjects where combined into one painting from two separate photographs. If combining is requested it is best using two photographs with similar perspectives to make it look more realistic. The colors used in the background can be used to compliment the pallet used to decorate the home.
